Youth Fellowship
INTRODUCTION
The Youth Fellowship (YF) gives glory to our Lord Jesus Christ in the way he has led us through this year 2017-2018. The YF aims to ensure that every young person in this church has a personal relationship and walk with the Almighty God.
YF encourages all the youths of this church to lead a godly life through prayer and study of the word of God. It is a forum where all youths meet to discuss matters regarding everyday concerns, struggles and spirituality. YF also serves as a platform for the youths to partner in the parish and Church mission and outreach activities. We meet regularly on Sundays in church premises and around 10-15 youths regularly attend the YF session.
Rev. A.T Zachariah serves as the Vicar of our parish and also as the President of the YF. We thank achen for his able leadership and guidance. We are also thankful to Rev. Nitin John Chacko for his support, encouragement and involvement as the Vice-President of the organization.
The following members served in the executive committee of the YF for the year 2017 –
The foremost goal of YF is to ensure that all youths of the church encounter the love of Christ and have a personal relationship with Christ in their lives. At the same time, reflect the same love to all the people they meet in their life. This year too, YF focuses on four major areas of Christian life which include service, study, witness and worship.
YF MEETINGS
YF Meetings were held every Sunday immediately after the English Holy communion service. Rev. A.T Zachariah or Rev. Nitin John Chacko would ensure to be present for every YF meeting to help and guide the youths. The YF session would start with praise and worship songs and later the message would be shared by achen.
The meetings were usually interactive which used to end with question and answer sessions on God, his character and practices of the Mar Thoma church. During this year we were glad to have Rev. George Jacob and Rev. Joel Thomas join us and take up the YF meeting. We have also had bible-based quiz arranged by Ms. Jinsy Mathew for the youths.
JAWHAR VISIT
Youth Fellowship members visited the Jawhar Mission field along with Rev. Nitin Chacko and the IVDP team on 12th November 2017. By the grace of God, we were able to participate in the Marathi Holy communion service along with the believers at Jawhar. We were happy to hear their testimonies, join in their singing session and later have meals with them.
DIVINE SERVICE
The Youth Fellowship took up the divine service during the allotted fifth Sundays in the church with member of YF reading the lessons, serving as deacons and in delivering the Sunday devotion.
LENT PRAYERS
This year many of the youths were given the opportunity to prepare and deliver the messages at various homes.
To conclude YF would once again like to thank the Lord who has enabled us to do this much in the last year. The YF has made a difference to the lives of many and plays a very important role in providing spiritual nourishment to youths of the parish. The YF, as an organization of the parish, has and will always stand spiritually strong to fulfil its founding objective, as enunciated by motto of Yuvajana Sakyam of the church to gain the youths of the parish for Christ, to equip them for a life with Christ and to be fruitful members of the parish and Marthoma Church. At the YF we encourage each other and are encouraged by each other to achieve great things for the Lord. YF would also like to convey sincere thanks to our Achens and the office bearers for their wholehearted support and encouragement during the last year.

We would like to thank our Achens, Rev. A.T Zachariah and Rev. Nitin John Chacko for their guidance and whole-hearted support. We also remain thankful to all the office bearers of the church and the office staff.
The YF is also grateful to all the members who have been active and contributed their time and efforts for the smooth functioning of the organization.
Above all we are grateful and Praise God for all that He has done in and through the YF in the last year. And let us pray that He will make us a useful instrument in His hand.
