Newly constructed flats are presently occupied by Vicar & Asst. Vicar.
Parish started a ‘Family Welfare Fund’. 15% of the total voluntary contribution amount earmarked for this fund to extend urgent Medical, Educational needs of our members. Under Golden Jubilee Project of the parish the construction of an additional floor at our church building (mainly consisting of two residential flats) was completed. A lift also erected and commissioned in the church building. The dedication service of the newly constructed area was held on 30th April 2014 by our diocesan bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Theethos.
Our mission outreach at Jawhar, Thane Dist was upgraded as ‘Marathi Congregation’ by Sabha Synod. As part of our parish golden jubilee project a building was bought at Jawhar and renovated to use as a worship centre. Our Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Theethos Episcopa dedicated the building on 10th March 2013 As per the Golden Jubilee project of the parish the construction of the additional floor at the church building started. Nook Apartments building at S.V. Road. Santacruz (W) where in our parish Vicar’s accommodation situated has gone for redevelopment.
A Cultural programme was organized at Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion, on January 22, 2010 as part of the Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations.
Valedictory function of the Golden Jubilee Year was celebrated at the parish on April 11, 2010. The event was graced by the Governor of Maharashtra His Excellency Shri. K. Sanakaranarayanan. The Metropolitan the Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma presided over the function, the Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa was present.

The first batch of students of St. Thomas Mar Thoma School, Kurar, appears for the S. S. C. Board Examination held in March 2006.
St. Thomas Mar Thoma School, Kurar Village, Malad (E) was formally recognized by the education department of the Government of Maharashtra, in June.
Rev. Dn. Mathews Philip was ordained as Kaseesa on 27th July 2002 by Rt. Rev. Joseph Mar Barnabas Episcopa, the then Diocesan Bishop, at our parish.
In January, started Worship service in the Hindi Language.
In March, started felicitation of Seniors completing 75 years during the Parish Day.

The Integrated Village Development (IVD) programme was started in the parish for village ministry in Maharashtra.
The Marriage Guidance Bureau was inaugurated on 1st January.
On 1st December, the Marol-Sakinaka prayer groups were permitted to function independently as St. Stephen’s Mar Thoma Church, Marol.
In February, the Church building extension work was completed.
On 6th March, the Juhanon Mar Thoma Memorial Hall (J.M.M. Hall) was dedicated by the Most Rev. Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Metropolitan, assisted by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos – the Diocesan Episcopa in the presence of the Most Rev. Philipose Mar Theophilus Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church.
The Juhanon Mar Thoma Memorial Hall was inaugurated by His Excellency Dr. P. C. Alexander, the Governor of Maharashtra. The Most Rev. Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Metropolitan unveiled the portrait of the late Most Rev. Dr. Juhanon Mar Thoma Metropolitan, in the J.M.M. Hall.
Recommenced worship service in our church after completion of the first phase of the Church building extension project, on April 04, 1992. Rt. Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus Episcopa celebrated the Holy Communion worship service.
Extension work of Church building commenced in May. (Worship service was temporarily shifted to the nearby St. Teresa’s Convent Chapel).
On April 01, the Bethel Mar Thoma Church, Malad, started functioning independently.
In August 1990, a Transit Camp was organized by Mar Thoma parishes in Mumbai Centre, at our parish, for Indians returning from Kuwait during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.
On Oct. 21, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Athanasius Episcopa blessed the slab for the extension work of church building.
On July 01, the Bassein congregation was permitted to function as an independent parish.
Good Friday service was conducted in English for the first time on 01-04-1988 by the Rev. Dr. M. V. Abraham who prepared the Good Friday service book in English.
Deacon Joe Joseph Kuruvilla, a member of our parish, was ordained as a priest by the then Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Irenaeus Episcopa on 11-07-1988. (He was the first member of our parish to be ordained as a priest).
On 27-11-1988, the Edavaka Sangham adopted the constitution of the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Seniors’ Fellowship. The Seniors’ Fellowship started functioning as a recognized organization in the Kaisthana Samithi from 1988-89.

Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Parish: Juhanon Mar Thoma Memorial Welfare Centre was renamed as Juhanon Mar Thoma & Silver Jubilee Memorial Centre (J.M. & S. J. M Centre) a registered Trust [Reg. No. F-10756 (BOM) under the Bombay Public registered Trusts Act & Reg. No. GBBSD/611/85 under Societies Registration Act], constituted for community care and developmental programmes, aiming to bring about socio-economic upliftment of the poor and the needy, irrespective of caste, creed, language or religion and for other social and charitable works.

The Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Borivali and St. Peter’s Mar Thoma Church, Goregoan, starts functioning independently.

Makes English translation of the order of the worship and selected Hymns in our Church. The same was printed and started use. The same was adopted, reprinted and published by the Mar Thoma Church form Thiruvalla in 1993.

Parish General Body 08-08-1976 decides that athmaaya Shrusrushakar (Lay Ministrants) shall from thence be ex-officio members of the Executive Committee of the parish. Later it was incorporated in the Mar Thoma Sabha Constitution.

The First Ordination, ever, of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church celebrated in Bombay, at our Church on 24th February 1973. Our Asst. Vicar Deacon George Jacob (now the Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa) was ordained as a priest on this day by the then Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Alexander Mar Theophilus Episcopa.
